It depends! Each gown is unique-it has different fabrics, embellishments and has different types and levels of stain or soil. Our Certified Wedding Gown Specialists will inspect your gown and offer a free, no obligation estimate for cleaning, restoring &/or preserving your gown – once they see it. Please note: we cannot offer prices or ranges of prices over the phone, until we have seen your dress.
Absolutely! Anything to do with cleaning, restoring, pressing or preserving your wedding gown is our specialty. We want you to look fabulous for your special day.
For wedding gown preservation we typically request between two and four weeks, but if you have a special request, just ask. Most likely, we can accommodate your needs.

As a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists, the MuseumCare™ Preservation Package is backed by members in more than 500 cities around the world. Having your wedding gown restoration and preservation done by a member of the AWGS means that your gown will not yellow for a lifetime. You can bring your boxed gown to any participating Wedding Gown Specialist who will inspect & press the gown at no charge.
When restoring a wedding dress we take every precaution to protect delicate beads, embroidery & lace during the cleaning process. Wedding gown restoring/cleaning is designed to return a textile back to its original color. In some cases especially with material fibers like silk, the color may only brighten a bit from its current state. Once complete, the garment is hand pressed, and returned on a hanger in a protective poly bag (unless the preservation option is selected)
We will gladly give you a free consultation and estimate for the care of any fabric, new or old. Beware of cleaners who will quote one price for all wedding gowns! Once your gown has been professionally cleaned, we encourage you to come in and inspect your gown before our MuseumCare™ preservation is completed.
We hand-treat and clean each gown individually – never in combination with other dresses. We take every precaution to protect delicate beads, embroidery, and lace during the cleaning process.
Spills containing sugar, salt and acid (like lemonade, white wine, vodka, even frosting from the cake) often dry clear and cannot be seen. These unseen stains do not dissolve during ordinary dry cleaning and turn an ugly brown over time. Our unique anti-sugar stain treatment ensures that all sugar, salt, and acid – seen or unseen – is removed.
We use acid-free tissue to protect your gown and enclose it in a completely triple layered, acid-free, archival quality wedding chest. As added protection, our boxes are enclosed in a 100% cotton muslin cover. We have several sizes so we can fit your unique gown into the appropriate size! Acid-free windows for viewing your treasured memories are available.
We guarantee that your gown will not yellow and that the “unseen” stains mentioned above will not show up for a lifetime. Members of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists are represented in more than 500 cities around the world. If your gown is worn again, return your gown to any participating Wedding Gown Specialist who will inspect and press the gown at no charge.
It is best to have your wedding dress cleaning and preservation done as soon as possible after the wedding. Over time, stains become more difficult to remove, so the sooner your gown is cleaned and preserved, the better results you will have. Unprotected it will fade and yellow, or even deteriorate and become brittle in spots. Consider asking a trusted friend or relative to bring your gown in right after the wedding.
You may drop off your wedding dress at any of our St Croix Cleaners locations. Please call the appropriate store for an appointment to meet with one of our Specialists to get a quote for cleaning and/or preserving your individual wedding dress. Contact us with and questions about this process.
1Please remove poly bag as soon as possible — garments stored in poly bags will start to oxidize (yellow) quickly. Poly bags are intended only for protection of garments in transit.
Thank you so much for doing such a spectacular job in cleaning my vintage 1945 wedding dress. I am really pleased with how it turned out. I can't wait to wear it for my wedding and then get it back to you for preservation. Thanks again for all of your help!
I am so happy with the work I had done on my wife's wedding gown. It looked like the day she wore it and I know she will be thrilled to see it all cleaned up again! Thank you to the entire staff for making this present possible and for doing a fantastic job!
I had my wedding gown cleaned and preserved with Treasured Garment Restoration and thought they did a great job. The dress came back in great shape, and I am very happy they guarantee their work. I hope one day my daughter will be able to wear at least a part of my gown. Thanks Treasured Garment!
