Expert Care Before, During and After Your Special Day
AWARD WINNING BRIDAL CLEANING AND CARE
With over two decades of cleaning experience, Treasured Garment Restoration was opened in 2008 as the specialty division of St Croix Cleaners. Garment Cleaning is literally the cornerstone of our company!
Since its creation, Treasure Garment Restoration has become nationally renowned for specialty cleaning. We receive vintage garments from places as far away as London, Boston and California and clean, on average, 3,000+ Wedding Gowns each year!
As a member of the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists, Treasured Garment Restoration is a Certified Wedding Gown Specialists™.
Our Wedding Dress cleaning process involves creating a unique cleaning treatment plan for each dress according to its fabric, stitching and details. Truly green, MuseumCare™ ZeroCarbon™ wedding gown cleaning, wedding gown restoration, and wedding gown preservation is recommended by couture gown designers worldwide.
Part of our proven method in cleaning Wedding Gowns is our anti-sugar stain treatment. Spills containing sugar, salt and acid (like lemonade, white wine, vodka and even cake frosting) often dry clear and cannot be seen. Our process ensures that all sugar, salt and acid residue – seen or unseen – is removed during bridal gown cleaning.
At Treasured Garment Restoration, each bridal gown is cleaned individually, never in combination with other dresses & always taking every precaution to protect all delicate beads, embroidery, lace and other embellishments.
From taking those first steps down the aisle & making a gorgeous appearance, to looking back at all your wedding day photos years from now; your dress should look as ravishing as you feel on your wedding day!
2 Reasons Why You May Want to Consider Cleaning Your Dress before the Big Day
YOU PURCHASED YOUR WEDDING DRESS EARLY IN THE ENGAGEMENT & PLANNING PROCESS For many brides, the time of engagement to wedding day can span a year and a half, or even more! It may not seem like a long period of time but, the fact is, in just 6-8 months the delicate fabric & fibers in a wedding gown can begin to yellow and fade.
YOU HAVE A PRE-OWNED WEDDING DRESS Maybe you’re renting a designer wedding dress, or wearing a heirloom dress previously worn by your mother or grandmother, or you purchased your wedding dress from another bride. Regardless of where your wedding dress originated, having it professionally cleaned before wearing it will restore its original brilliance and remove any hidden stains.
WE RECOMMEND HAVING YOUR WEDDING DRESS CLEANED ONE MONTH AHEAD OF TIME IF ITS OFF-SEASON,
AND TWO MONTHS IN ADVANCE IF ITS PEAK WEDDING SEASON.
Caring for your Gown After the Wedding
Although optional, we highly recommend having your dress preserved once the wedding day is over. That being said, when it comes to having your wedding gown cleaned, it’s an ABSOLUTE MUST!
No matter if your intentions are to keep or to sell your dress, cleaning it almost immediately after the wedding will allow for best results in terms of removing stains, eliminating damage to the fabric and preventing discoloration.
If you plan on selling your wedding dress, having it professionally cleaned will ultimately give you the best value.
However, if you plan on keeping your wedding dress to potentially have it worn again by a child or grandchild, we suggest our Complete Wedding Dress Cleaning and Preservation Package! Our Certified Wedding Gown Specialists™ provide a free consultation and estimate for the care of any fabric, new or vintage.
